At a glance
What WPGlotty does.
Translate your whole site in one go, with natural wording, then correct any sentence on the page where your visitors read it.
- One run WPGlotty translates pages, products, menus and forms together.
- Natural wording Set your tone and choose formal or informal wording.
- On-page editing Check each translation on the page where visitors read it.
- Shops and builders Translate your WooCommerce shop and your page builder content.
Pages and wording
Translate every page with natural wording.
Choose a style: close to your source, natural, or adapted more freely for each market.
WPGlotty uses your site profile to write natural, native-sounding translations. Set your tone and choose formal or informal address for each language. Built-in writing rules guide punctuation, dates and heading styles in 19 languages.
WPGlotty automatically translates new pages and changed sentences unless you switch this off. New translations follow changed instructions straight away. To apply them to older text, choose ‘Translate everything again’. WPGlotty keeps your manual corrections.
- Every page, product and menu
- Only changed sentences next time
- Your tone in each language
Translation editor
Edit translations on the page itself.
Open a translated page, click a sentence and type what it should say, right where visitors read it.
WPGlotty keeps your corrections when you translate again and reuses them wherever the same sentence appears on your pages. The page panel shows progress, highlights untranslated text and opens the editor.
Check search and social previews in each language. Give translators their own logins, limited to their languages, with no access to the WordPress dashboard. Use the glossary to set fixed translations, keep terms as they are or ban words.
- Keep corrections across your site
- Preview search results and social cards
- Limit translator access by language
Free download, with 5,000 words of WPGlotty credits included.
Shops and builders
Translate WooCommerce and add a language switcher.
WPGlotty translates the page as visitors see it, including builder headers, popups, and text from themes and plugins.
Translate your WooCommerce shop, from product pages, options and categories to the cart and checkout. Customers get order e-mails in the language they ordered in. WPGlotty leaves your original content unchanged.
Let visitors choose their language with a language switcher. WPGlotty adds a switcher element to Breakdance, Bricks, Divi, Elementor and WPBakery. You can also use a block, menu item, shortcode or floating button. Show flags or language names.
- Translate cart and checkout
- Send e-mails in each customer's language
- Choose switcher colours and spacing

What customers say

We moved a client site of about four thousand strings over in an afternoon. The import took the translated URLs with it, so nothing dropped out of Google, and the bill is now whatever DeepL charges us rather than a licence on top.

-
The editor is the part that sold it to me. Click a sentence on the live page, fix it, done. My client does her own corrections now and I get the invoice for the words and nothing else.

Our Breakdance header and popups came across without me touching a template, which is more than the last plugin managed. Setting up the language switcher took a few minutes of reading, hence four rather than five.

Nine languages on a WooCommerce shop, running on our own OpenAI key. What used to be a monthly worry is a line in the API bill, and the checkout reads properly in every one of them.

Pricing
Every plan has every feature.
The free licence already translates automatically, with 5,000 words of WPGlotty credits. A plan adds the use of your own provider key, and plans differ in how many sites you can use it on. We do not count words or languages on your own key, because the translation runs on your own account with Claude, DeepL, Gemini, Google Translate or OpenAI, at their rates.
Free for one site, with 5,000 words to translate automatically
Create an account and the licence is yours. It has no end date. You pick your languages, translate every page by hand in the editor, and your visitors see the result. We do not switch off any features later.

Translation tools
- Whole-site translation. Translate pages, posts, products, menus and widgets in one background run. On credits, you see an estimate of the words needed before starting.
- Automatic translation. WPGlotty automatically translates new pages and changed sentences unless you switch this off. Your free licence starts with 5,000 words of WPGlotty credits. New translations follow changed instructions.
- The translation editor. Click a sentence on your page and edit its translation. Your correction appears wherever the same sentence is used on your pages. Later translation runs leave your edits alone.
- A panel on your pages. Switch languages, check progress, see who translated the page, highlight untranslated text and open the editor. Only people who can translate see this panel.
- Theme and plugin text. Translate buttons, labels and messages from your theme and plugins, including text added after the page loads.
- Accounts for your translators. Give translators their own logins, with access to the on-page editor but not the WordPress dashboard. You can limit each account to chosen languages.
- Translation styles and tone. With AI providers or credits, choose close, natural or free wording. Your tone and site profile guide word choice.
- Formal or informal, per language. Choose formal or informal address for each language: Sie or du, vous or tu. In five languages, WPGlotty detects which form you already use.
- Leave chosen text untranslated. Use the glossary to set translations, keep terms or ban words. Exclude text by CSS selector, exact text or URL pattern.
- Automatic translation with WPGlotty credits. WPGlotty’s engine needs no key. Paid plans let you add yearly credits or packs that never expire. Choose what goes first: by default, credits go first, then your own key takes over.
For your site
- WooCommerce. Translate product pages, including options and categories, plus the cart and checkout. Customers receive order e-mails in the language they ordered in.
- Page builder support. WPGlotty translates the finished page, whichever builder you use, and adds switcher elements to Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Breakdance and WPBakery.
- Your language switcher. Add a switcher through your builder, a block, shortcode, menu item or floating button. Choose flags, language names, colours and spacing.
- 108 languages and variants. All 108 languages and regional variants are included. Your sites share one credit balance. Track usage by site and language, and set monthly word limits per site.
- Import from TranslatePress. Import your translations, language URL settings, glossary, exclusions and any translated slugs. WPGlotty leaves your TranslatePress installation and data unchanged.
For search engines
- Translated URLs and sitemaps. WPGlotty adds hreflang tags, canonical URLs and sitemaps for each language. You can choose to translate every slug during a whole-site run.
- Your SEO titles and descriptions. Translate SEO titles and descriptions from Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress and All in One SEO. WPGlotty also translates Open Graph text and supported structured data fields.
- URL structure for each language. Choose the addresses visitors use: give each language a subdirectory, a subdomain or its own domain.
- Send visitors to their language. You can send first-time visitors to their browser’s language, and your page cache keeps working.
- Your translations stay if you stop paying. Your translations stay in your WordPress database if you stop paying. You can keep editing one site on the free licence.
Cancel whenever you like. You go back to the free licence and carry on translating by hand. The translations already on your site stay there. Prices exclude VAT.
TranslatePress import
Import your TranslatePress translations.
Move to WPGlotty without starting again. Your language URL settings and available translated slugs come across too, so your existing translated URLs stay the same.
- Keep your translations WPGlotty brings your translations across with your glossary and exclusions.
- Keep translated slugs You can import translated slugs if you used TranslatePress's paid SEO add-on.
- Pause and resume Pause and carry on later. Repeat imports keep any corrections you made in WPGlotty.
WPGlotty leaves TranslatePress and its data alone. Deactivate TranslatePress before you make a language live in WPGlotty.
Practical answers
Common questions.
Is it free?
Yes. The free licence includes the editor and SEO features for one site, with no end date. You get 5,000 free words on first activation, once per account and site. WPGlotty credits pay for our own engine, so you don't need a separate key. You'll need a paid plan to translate more automatically.
Will it slow my site down?
Once WPGlotty has translated a page, it serves translations from your site's own database. Your existing page cache keeps working. With the default setting, the first visitor to see untranslated text may wait up to eight seconds while WPGlotty translates it.
What happens if I turn it off?
If you turn WPGlotty off, your site stops showing translated pages. If you stop paying, your translations stay and you can keep editing one site on the free licence. WPGlotty deletes its translation tables on uninstall only if you turn that option on.
Does it work with my page builder?
WPGlotty works with Breakdance, Bricks, Divi, Elementor and WPBakery. It adds a language switcher element to each, so you can place and style it with your builder's own design controls.
What happens when my credits run out?
If you haven't set up another way to translate, automatic translation pauses. Existing translations keep working. Paid plans renew yearly and let you buy word packs that never expire. After you add words, translation usually resumes within about ten minutes, though WordPress scheduled tasks can delay it.
