You can also use your own key at your provider’s rates and set a monthly spending limit. With both, credits go first by default and your key takes over when they run out.

What the €99 plan leaves out
On TranslatePress, DeepL, automatic language detection, a separate domain per language and translator accounts are addons on the Business plan at €199 a year. The €99 Personal plan does not include them.

TranslatePress AI translates the text it is given. What it knows about your site is the text.
With WPGlotty credits, your site profile guides word choice and you can set the tone for each language. Choose formal or informal wording and use the glossary for fixed terms. Click a sentence to correct it. Your correction appears wherever that sentence is used on your pages, and later runs leave it alone.

TranslatePress includes translation in the price. If your small site stays within 50,000 words a year, you pay €99 and nothing else. You need no provider account and have no second bill.
TranslatePress has been on the market for years and has a large install base. Its support forum documents many unusual page-builder and theme issues. WPGlotty is newer and has encountered fewer of them.
Choose TranslatePress if you want a fixed yearly allowance included in the licence price. WPGlotty credits also need no provider account. On a paid plan, you can buy word packs or add a yearly allowance separately from the licence.
Stay on TranslatePress if your site fits within the allowance and you prefer one invoice to two. The Personal plan may be enough if you do not need DeepL or translator accounts and stay well under the word limit. WPGlotty can import your existing translations, but moving still takes time. Can I run both while I decide?
Do not run both on the same site: two plugins rewriting the same page conflict. WPGlotty can import your translations without changing your TranslatePress data. Deactivate TranslatePress before you make a language live in WPGlotty.
Do my TranslatePress translations come across?
Yes. WPGlotty imports your translations, language URL settings and any translated slugs, so your translated addresses stay the same. Translated slugs exist only if you used TranslatePress’s paid SEO add-on.
Is it cheaper?
It depends on your word count and target languages. Use your 5,000 free words and the estimate before a run to assess your needs.
