A word costs one to four credits, per language
WPML includes 90,000 translation credits on the CMS plan and 180,000 on Agency. For each target language, a word costs one credit through Microsoft or two through Google Translate or DeepL. WPML’s own engine costs four credits per word per language. A 10,000-word site in three languages through DeepL uses 60,000 credits.
WPGlotty credits have no engine multiplier. Each target language counts separately, using whichever word count is larger: the source or the translation. A failed request costs nothing. Paid plans also support your own provider key at its published rates.

What the €39 plan leaves out
Multilingual Blog is €39 a year. It does not include the Advanced Translation Editor, String Translation, WooCommerce support, page builder support or any translation credits. Those are on the CMS plan at €99.

Translate the page visitors see
WPML translates posts, pages, strings and fields covered by its integrations. A builder or plugin without an integration needs one before WPML can translate its text.
WPGlotty translates the finished page, including builder content, menus and widgets, without a separate builder integration. It also covers image alt text, SEO titles and meta descriptions.

Choose from 11 styles, including dropdowns, flags, text, lists, toggles, a floating switcher, a modal and an off-canvas drawer. Start with a preset, then make it your own. Adjust the design using your builder's controls or the shortcode settings.

WPGlotty translates new pages, posts and products automatically, unless you switch this off. When you edit the original, it translates only the changed sentences.

Check your translations as visitors read them. Click a heading, button or sentence and edit it on the page itself. You can also preview search results and social cards in each language.
Fix a sentence once. WPGlotty keeps your correction when you translate again and uses it wherever that sentence appears on your pages.

Where WPML stands out.
WPML lets you assign pages to named translators, track progress and send work to a translation agency from WordPress. WPGlotty has translator accounts, optional language restrictions and an on-page editor, but no assignment or tracking workflow. You can export XLIFF or CSV for an agency and import their work.
WPML has over a decade of theme and plugin integrations, and most WordPress products test against it. A plugin that states WPML support has tested that integration. Other products do not yet test against WPGlotty.
The CMS plan includes 90,000 credits. If that covers your site, you pay €99 with no separate provider bill.
Stay on WPML if several people translate your site and you need to track their work. Stay if you rely on a plugin’s WPML integration and cannot test whether its text appears on the finished page. Its included credits may cover your site without a separate provider account. Moving to WPGlotty means translating again. That is worth considering only if the credits or plan no longer suit your needs.

Do my WPML translations come across?
No. WPML stores translations in its own tables, in a format only WPML reads. You can translate your site again in one WPGlotty run, using WPGlotty credits or your own provider key on a paid plan.
