What leaves your site
Two destinations, and a short list of what goes to each.
To your provider
The strings to be translated, and (unless you turn page context off) a note of what page they came from and what is around them. This is the request you are paying for; there is no way to translate text without sending it.
It goes from your server to Anthropic, DeepL or OpenAI directly, on your own API key. It does not pass through wpglotty.com.

The licence key, the domain, the plugin and WordPress versions, and counts: strings found, strings translated, words sent, dollars spent, and which provider and model did the work.
Never a string, never a translation, never a URL beyond the domain, and nothing about any visitor or any person. The counts are the ones on your account page.

- Not sent: content, translations, URLs, visitor data, user accounts
- Only if you switch it on: your provider API key, encrypted, so several sites can collect it
What is stored on your site
Strings and their translations live in WPGlotty’s own tables. Your source content is never duplicated and page-builder data is never rewritten, which is why uninstalling leaves the site exactly as it was in the source language.
Provider keys entered in the settings screen are encrypted before they are stored. Keys defined in wp-config.php are not stored at all.
